And here we go, time to follow a sphere and try not to attract their gaze. The start the of the story hits the ground running.. I like the different take the f separating the the senior staff to get their inner thoughts and emotions about the new mission. Can't wait to see what comes next.
What an intro to a mission. The first few paragraphs give us a hint of what's to come, will we find out what happens to Krystorin? Then we start moving fast, we get a look see into the Lakota as they go to red alert while in station. Why? Well that comes next as we find out that Borg homing signals are going off across the galaxy. We then get a quick introduction to the Lakota squadron as the ships prepare for their individual missions. The to cap it off the captains log giving us a foreshadowing of what's to come. The story leaves us wanting more, which I guess we will have to wait till the next story to find out.
Nice to see the Polaris Squadron finally made official. As far as the story you have already set the stage for the mystery of the signal. In some ways I wish there would have been a bit of a cliffhanger moment after they received the initial message, some sort of “Dun Dun Dun” moment. And what's this your leaving the Polaris behind? Going with the Pathfinder class Ingenuity is definitely a twist. Can't wait to see how this works out. Overall a good start to what looks like a mysteriously intense story.
This is an awesome intro to the Alhambra. Nice quick intros to the crew, can't wait to find out more about their pasts. Nice intro to a mystery concerning the station, gives a good insight to what the crew is thinking as they approach and get their first look. That away team is going to crowded, maybe need to remember your shuttle types and numbers available on a California class. Can't wait to read the next one and see what happens on the away mission.
Awesome story mcgig. The only downside for me is I lost or didn't get the sense of time in the pit fight scene. Maybe because it was broken up with the side conversation. Just maybe how my brain works though as the story in it's entirety was excellent and well written. I enjoy reading the Atlantis stories as they are well thought out and written and there is so many stories with in the stories that make your storytelling such a good and captivating read.
Gotta say I enjoyed this one. A keep it simple briefing by the squadron commander. Sometimes they make for the best type. The only thing I wish it was a bit more from the other two commanders, even if you it was a simple response when she asked if anyone had any thoughts. Can't wait to see how Horizon Squadron works this situation.
I'm glad done one else went with a pitcher plant idea. Can't wait to see what the crew comes up with, the idea of making the plant some how puke its guts out to get rid of the lithium sounds interesting but than what happens to all that Dilithium?
Great story you two. Loving the interactions between Cynndle and Heriah. I’ve been wondering myself lately if Rex isn’t using the injection overages to try and assert dominance over Heriah. I think cynndle maybe have just had the same idea. Can’t wait to see how this story progresses.

I'm loving the story of the Saratoga so far, it is one of the ships I look forward to reading. This was and interesting chapter as it has quite a bit of story telling besides just dealing with the ship and her crew. The two romulans in the brig was a well thought out piece of the story. They behaved, acted and talked as I would expect many folks under arrest or in prison would. I especially like the play between the two of them at the start of the story. Than adding the interrogation to the mix makes it hit home, and of course we get the one person who sings like a canary once he thinks he has no choice. Nice touch with the " oh crap another ship was supposed to be here right now and we where supposed to be long gone by than." And the idea that the something else is going on and they did not want to be around when that other ship showed up, makes one think that Tolev knows more than he is letting on or knows more than he is supposed to. Interesting though that when the mentioned romulan warbirds does show up they are like "hey, we need to talk." Odd for how the romulans have been acting, could this lead to the Klingons getting involved in the Saratoga's mission somehow? Can't wait for the piece of the story.
Ok, first off let me start with I’m loving this story so far.. I know it’s just the start of this particular storyline but I want to read more.. The use of the different characters and the JP aspect of the story is working so far.. The flow between the characters and their view points is practically seamless and you guys all write in almost the same style so it makes it seem like one person is actually writing the story versus a group of people.. the connections between the characters are awesome you guys brought the together in such a way that it shows what being a part of a team and a part of Star Fleet is all about. My one worry with the story is, IMO, your riding on the line of making this a station issue versus just an issue that a few folks can realistically handle, granted something like this might be a cool idea for everyone on SBB to jump in on.. I got one would love to join this story line, so if you needs another ops character with some linguistic skills give me yell. Again awesome story and I can’t wait for the next part
