“In the lead-up to the jump in timeline, Admiral Thrace knew that Task Force 93 would be hit the hardest. With many simms directly involved in Beta Quadrant (including Romulan-focused) stories, it was crucial that this be a collaborative process.
“It would have been easy for Admiral Thrace to develop this internally and simply advise COs and players what their new status quo will be. But he didn’t. He reached out early, and that speaks to his character.”
This award is thus given in recognition of the specifically community-focused approach to a challenge taken.
Thrace took over TF93 a few months ago and has absolutely become one with the task force again like he had never left. TF93 has been quite a beast to handle; it has multiple interesting storylines coming to a close, just as many opening, and is without a doubt the task force impacted directly by whatever Picard will bring us. Thrace constantly has ideas and ways to pivot 93 to be best prepared for whatever the future may bring, all while being extremely supportive of the members throughout his task force as they all handle this together. Great job, and well deserved!
The Starfleet Medal of Commendation is awarded once a year to players who show extreme dedication and resilience to their task force and Bravo Fleet as a whole. This medal, given on Gene Roddenberry’s birthday, recognizes those in our community who go above and beyond their call to service.
