The USS Ride is a leviathan, Odyssey class starship. Under the command of RAdm Niana Tondro, the ship's mission is to explore deep-space and extend both the reach and the knowledge of the Federation.

The USS Ride has a proud namesake, and a rich legacy within Starfleet. Named for one of Earth’s pioneering astronauts, and the second ship to bear the name, the Ride continues the tradition of the Federations peaceful exploration of deep-space, and aiding people whenever she should.
Like most Odyssey class starships, the Ride is crewed by an impressive array of people from across known space, and boasts a large complement. With very few exceptions, these are visionaries and leaders in their respective fields, most of them hand-picked by Admiral Tondro and her immediate staff.
