Lieutenant Commander Torkan Marek Currently assigned to the Diplomatic Corps as an Intervention and Culture Specialist. With advanced knowledge of Politics and Alien Cultures particularly the Dominion and Gamma Quadrant species in the post 2375 political climate. |
A brilliant physician, specialised in combat medicine, general surgery and virology. She posesses vast medical knowledge that supplant her specialization knowledge, and she isn’t afraid to let it show. On the other hand, the Hipocratic Oath, the Nightingale Pledge and the rest are often ignored or thrown aside when it comes to Maliya, as she calls herself the healer of the body, the counselors she considers the healers of the mind. She’s got a sarcastic sense of humor and approach to life, and will mince no words when she has an opinion, and considers herself the higher authority when it comes to things medical, so orders from superior officers will often go disobeyed. |

Vaela was an outsider, first growing up on Qualor Prime, then the brief relocation to Terix II and then again when they moved back to Qualor Prime. The Romulan supernova didn’t really affect Vaela, as she was ten years old when it happened and Romulas was no more a home to her than Terix II. She appreciated the Federation, but was always viewed as an outsider growing up. When she was accepted to Starfleet Academy, she ceased being an outsider. Her classmates just viewed her as another cadet. Now that she has graduated, her loyalty is totally to Starfleet. |
