It is with great pride and admiration that I nominate Captain James MacLeod for promotion to Fleet Captain, recognizing his extraordinary contributions and unparalleled activity within Task Force 21 as Commander of Task Group 97.

He has participated in 38 competitions earning two Action Medals with Moon Cluster, three Action Medals with Planet Cluster and one Action Medal with Star Cluster. This list of honors would not be complete without highlighting Captain MacLeod’s stellar participation in Fleet Actions The Lost Fleet, We Are the Borg and Labyrinth. Through these events he earned one Starfleet Bronze Star, four Starfleet Gold Stars and an astonishing 40 Challenge Coins. A testament to his dedication and exemplary performance.
His continued activity has previously earned him an impressive array of accolades, including two Starfleet Medals of Commendation (2023 and 2024), a Legion of Merit (July 4, 2023), a Meritorious Service Cross (December 19, 2023), a Star for Distinguished Service (February 14, 2024), and the prestigious Jonathan Archer Order of Merit (May 31, 2024). Captain MacLeod has consistently exemplified the values and excellence of Starfleet.
In addition to his personal achievements Captain MacLeod has been a steadfast leader and mentor within the fleet. He served with distinction on the JAG Appeals Board for over a year and as Executive Officer of Task Force 86 for six months, where his efforts enhanced engagement and momentum during critical Fleet Actions. As a founding member of the newly reformed Task Force 21 Captain MacLeod played a pivotal role in its success and his leadership as Commander of Task Group 97 has been instrumental in maintaining its smooth operation. His dedication to supporting and guiding members along their fleet journeys is both inspiring and invaluable.
For these outstanding achievements and his enduring commitment to the fleet, it is my profound honor to nominate Captain James MacLeod for the rank of Fleet Captain. His exemplary service and leadership make him not only deserving of this promotion but also a role model for us all.
Since become Task Group Commanding Officer of Task Group 97 in Task Force 21, Captain James MacLeod has been an engaging presence with the members of his task group. He is constantly checking in with them to see if he can help guide their journey, answer any questions, and help them engage with the Task Force and Bravo Fleet. He is punctual and precise in his checking of activity, always making sure that members are being properly rewarded for their time and effort. I am happy to write this recommendation for Captain James MacLeod’s promotion to Fleet Captain. Congratulations!
The rank of Captain stands as a distinguished and highly sought-after position both within the Trek universe and within Bravo Fleet. As such, attaining it is not easy and requires a remarkable level of dedication and consistency. These levels are ones that Timothy Vadney has undoubtedly met with his unwavering commitment to the Fleet.
His activity has been not only consistent but also remarkable in its breadth and depth. Following his promotion to Commander on August 19th, 2022, he was honored with the Starfleet Medal of Commendation, awarded for extreme dedication.
To add to that, his exemplary activity has earned him the prestigious Jonathan Archer Order of Merit for consistent and sustained service to the fleet. In order to attain this, he has shown himself to be an enthusiastic and accomplished participant in both gaming and competitions, earning an amazing 103 Strategic Action ribbons and 20 Campaign Ribbons in Star Trek Online and World of Warships, alongside 45 Combat Action ribbons. Timothy also displays his creativity with 31 Service Ribbons for his compelling fiction writing aboard the USS Pandora.
His competitive spirit is evidenced with his participation in an impressive ten contests, securing placements in eight of them which has gained him an amazing four Action Medals with Planet Clusters, three Action Medals with Moon Clusters, and one Action Medal with Comet Cluster.
In addition to his exceptional activity, Timothy has served as an appeals officer in the JAG department during the last eight months, further illustrating his dedication to our community.
Taking on a leadership role, Timothy has thrived as the Executive Officer for TF86 since he took on the role on February 26th 2023, providing encouragement, guidance, and support to fellow members within the task force. His aptitude for leadership has been evident in the positive atmosphere he fosters among the members of TF86 and the ease to which he has taken to the more administrative side of task force management.
To add to this, Timothy has successfully completed both the Academy Character Creation program and the Command Management program, demonstrating his commitment to continuous personal improvement and growth.
Therefore, it is with immense pride and admiration that I recommend Timothy for a well-deserved promotion to the rank of Captain. Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment!
It’s time we acknowledge the time and effort that has been put in by Maddox. The rank of commander is something special and earned by those who truly enjoy what they do in BF. In fact, the amount of time alone shows dedication above any other. This is easy for Maddox who shows a true enjoyment of all things Star Trek and the many opportunities it affords in this group.
Activity is the main part of making it to this prestigious rank, and Maddox has definitely been active, whether that be in the fleet Discord or gaming. Lately Maddox has been seen doing both. These little moments in activity show Maddox’s desire and ability to advance in Bravo Fleet.
Since his last promotion on March 8th, 2022, Maddox earned a Starfleet Silver Star and three challenge coins for his participation in the recent Sundered Wings Fleet Action, as well as 4 Service Ribbons, 3 Action Medals with Galaxy Clusters, 2 Action Medals with Star Clusters, 1 Action Medal with Planet Cluster, 1 Campaign Ribbon, and 9 Strategic Action Ribbons from his gaming activity on Star Trek Online. All of this led to his Silver Palm on July 26th.
Since then he also participated in the First Bravo Fleet Trivia Night on August 14th and earned an Action Medal with Planet Cluster for placing second.
With all this in mind, it is my pleasure to nominate Maddox to the rank of Commander! Welcome to the elite three pips and beyond! I am sure you will continue to excel in your activity and do just as much if not more than you have this past year!
The center chair – a shared dream with all Star Trek fan! Luckily for the members of Bravo Fleet, you earn your first command when reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander! Accomplishing this is no easy feat; it takes time, dedication, and a love of Star Trek! Lucky for us, a member of TF 86 is about to join the ranks of starship command!
Leland’s activity in Bravo Fleet has been well rounded. He’s completed the New Member Program, joined RPGs, participated in the BF Star Trek Online community where he earned over 25 Strategic Action Ribbons, placed in six different competitions, and continues to be an active contributor on the BF Discord server. Leland’s well rounded activity in Bravo Fleet has fully prepared him for the rank of Lt. Commander! Therefore, I am honored and privileged to recommend Leland for a promotion to the rank of Lt. Commander!
I know I speak for all of Task Force 86 when I say that we can’t wait to see the stories you tell from your command! Good luck, Commander!
Leland has been a member of Bravo Fleet for four years. Recently, Leland’s activity has increased: he has earned 12 strategic action ribbons, reached level 6 on Discord, has 3 characters listed on the BFMS, and created a well-developed character biography (Lieutenant Theodore Sladek). As such, they are now eligible to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. We look forward to Leland’s increased activity, especially with the upcoming Stormbreaker Campaign!
