Since its inception as Starfleet’s forward position inside the Thormar Expanse, Deep Space 47 had in its short lifespan transformed from an out-of-the-box starbase, stark and barren, into an emerging little hub of commerce and cultural exchange. It was still mostly anchored around supporting Starfleet’s mission, but there was clearly activity taking place with no regard to that mission of exploration into previously difficult-to-access territory. It was no small comfort to those in charge that the people who inhabited the station now came out of choice rather than necessity, DS47 was quickly transitioning from a statement by Starfleet to an integral part of life in the Expanse. The Federation was here to stay and they were here with an open hand.
“Noble should be finished with her resupply efforts the day after tomorrow and be ready to set sail once more.” Commodore Alexandra Sudari-Kravchik turned her back on the balcony of the task force office that looked down on the Galleria and stepped back inside, the sliding glass doors staying open and giving the faint impression of the offices being located on a planet somewhere and not high up on a space station. “Have there been any changes in the other ships of the task force since the end of the Borg crisis?”

Task Force Updates
To say that it’s been a time in Task Force 47 lately would be an understatement! A returning TFCO and a new TFXO are top of the list of things to mention! I want to take this time to thank the efforts of JonM and Sean, who guided TF47 through two Fleet Actions. Gentlemen, your efforts are much appreciated! And I want to thank Greyimage, aka Varen Wyll, for stepping up as the new TF47 TFXO. Been an absolute star mate and looking forward to working with you long-term!
Since The Lost Fleet we’ve had a number of new and returning faces amongst us here in TF47, notably prompted by the We Are the Borg Fleet Action. A big welcome to all! Excited to have you all amongst us in Bravo Fleet and TF47 specifically!
During the We Are the Borg Fleet Action TF47 took away an overall second-place position, which is an epic achievement. We’re coming for that First Place next time folks! 47ers contributed nearly a quarter of total comp entries and got the highest average score per member by far. We’re not just a competitive bunch over here, but keen writers as well, contributing around 111,000 words over the entire Fleet Action. That’s impressive and I can’t wait to see what we get up to in the meantime folks!
TF47’s achievements in the last two Fleet Actions have been nothing but absolutely amazing! I’m so keen to see the stories and achievements we get up to over the next few months. We’ve got fresh new faces, new stories to tell and endless possibilities folks! Onwards and upwards!
Fiction Updates
USS Century – Following the disappearance of the scout they were tracking, Century remains at the Romulan border keeping a watchful eye on the trade lanes. With tensions high after their encounter with the Borg, Captain Gar’rath and crew receive a distress call from a mining colony near Gateway Station, where several autonomous transports have mysteriously disappeared whilst carrying the rare mineral Chimerium. Century finds themselves embroiled in an investigation that has them chasing sensor ghosts, exploring hidden bases and staring down dangerously unpredictable mercenaries. What could these criminals want with this rare mineral and more importantly, who is Mr. Vol?
USS Republic – Having spent the last few months chasing leads and forging contacts within the Cardassian Union, the crew of the Republic finally catch a break in their pursuit of the rogue Doctor T’Halla Shreln while working with Central Command against a research firm engaged in criminal activity. Chasing up the lead before the Cardassians do, Republic stumbles across a search facility in the middle of nowhere, the entire complement killed by Shreln as she once more disappears.
USS Helios – Newly assigned to Task Force 47, Helios has recently been refitted and retasked to reignite the fires of community amongst the neutral colonies of the Thomar Expanse. With their newly appointed Cardassian Union Ambassador aboard they venture out into the diplomatically delicate region, their first task to convince the miners of Bryntail base not to give up on the Federation.
USS Vallejo – Fresh from a refit and a new coat of paint at the Providence yards, Captain Day and crew are still finding their way around the patchwork panels of a recommissioned Vallejo as they prepare for their first outing. With several tests completed (including the all important warp core speed test) and a company of new officers and cadets meeting them at Starbase Bravo, it appears Vallejo is ready to set out on their first mission as a new member of 47.
