A brand new ship, a brand new long term mission, and very little time to prepare for either. Wong, Mee IH, Ingram, the Doc and the rest of the gang must work with the new hastily assembled crew of the Trenton and get the ship ready to lead a Joint Allied Squadron on active operations.

The USS Trenton was the 5th hull laid down and 8th vessel of the Alita class carriers to be launched. She was built in Bay 1 of the Starbase Bravo Shipyard, and after nearly three years of construction and yard trials, she was rapidly commissioned during April of 2403, and participated in the efforts to repatriate the Displaced during the Inter-dimensional crisis caused by the portal at Starbase 80.

Originally scheduled to be named the Nimitz, but after the wreck of the 22nd century Trenton was found in early 2403, the powers that be, as it pertains to new ship nomenclature, ordered a last minute change.

By a twist of fate, the entire crew of the vessel that found the wreck of the older Trenton was assigned to new incarnation shortly after it’s commissioning. The vessel has been assigned as the Crisis Response Ship(Coreward) for Task Force 72.

Trenton Heavy Cruiser Squadron

The squadron is a Joint Allied formation with the Republic Navy and the Klingon Empire represented by the RRW Malem and IKS Vor’nak, led by the USS Trenton, and homeported at DS108.

It is assigned to serve in the dual role of Crisis Response Squadron(Coreward) for TF 72, and as the Rapidly Deployable Contingency Force(Coreward) for Starfleet Joint Operations.

The squadron is in the process of  deploying to the restive Hodian Belt where a resource rush has erupted.
