USS Tennessee (NCC-71368)
The USS Tennessee (NCC-71638) is a Steamrunner-class heavy frigate operating under the administrative and operational control (ADCON/OPCON) of Commander, Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron. Returned to service in 2402 following a comprehensive systems refit, the Tennessee serves as the squadron’s primary tactical support platform, providing rapid response capability across Task Force 86’s area of operations. Under the command of Commander James Thatcher, the Tennessee embodies the durability of a starship forged in the Dominion War and reborn for the challenges of the 25th century.
Commander, Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron (COMCYCLEXCRURON) is a flexible, mission-driven formation operating under the authority of Border Operations Command, Fourth Fleet, near the volatile region known as The Triangle. Under the command of Fleet Captain James C. MacLeod, the squadron executes high-risk exploratory, tactical, and diplomatic missions across contested and developing sectors where Federation influence remains tenuous.
Formed in the wake of the Raeyan Incident and tempered by the hard lessons of Operation Iron Veil, the squadron embodies Starfleet’s forward-deployed philosophy: agile, resilient, and self-reliant.
The squadron’s senior leadership exemplifies a blend of tactical precision, frontier determination, and the unspoken trust forged in battle. Whether charting unstable regions of subspace or facing down emergent hostile powers, the Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron stands prepared to do what others cannot — carry the Federation into the unknown and hold the line when no one else will.

The Avalon Fleet Yards hung in the void across thousands of cubic kilometers in the Avalon System. The heart of the yards was Brahms Station, the towering Probert-class spacedock whose cavernous interior glowed with blue and white lights. Surrounding the station was a wide halo of drydocks, each [...]
