Well, what can we say about the illustrious O’va, better known as Contributor in our Discord lounge? It seems like only yesterday we were congratulating him on reaching Midshipman and obtaining his first command: the California-class USS Solvang. We postulate that the reason for the seemingly blazing pace of his advancement is likely due to his stalwart levels of activity, meaning that he continues to excel and charge through every milestone this community sets for him, and at such a pace that we often have to remind ourselves, ‘Blink, and you’ll miss him.’

During the Crossroads Fleet Action, Ova dealt a tremendous hand of activity. His efforts played no small part in elevating his teammates in Task Force 93 to victory. He subsequently earned the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal in recognition of his efforts.

But without so much as a falter in his step, O’va has continued to lead the charge, fostering a strong community spirit with his collaboration with other members in authoring his own command, USS Solvang. You’ll often see him with friends in the Bravo Comms channel, brainstorming new ideas or firing writing tags back and forth. For this endeavour, he has earned a respectable 15 Duty Ribbons and 82 Service Ribbons.

When he’s not writing, you’ll often find him encouraging others to join him in a few impromptu rounds of golf and more recently, titles such as Helldivers 2 have earned their place on his gaming list. By far, our supported games are where O’va ignites the midnight petroleum products, earning a total of 91 Combat Action Ribbons and a phenomenal 458 Joint Action Ribbons! In the little under 2 months since his last award, that total is particularly impressive.

Continuing at no less a pace than he started, he has since entered 6 further competitions, and he is currently sitting at 1 Action Medal with Star Cluster, 2 Action Medals with Moon Cluster and 1 Action Medal with Comet Cluster. Out of the 6 competitions he entered in that time, that’s an amazing success rate. You’ll surely find his competitive spirit, a force to be reckoned with.

It’s abundantly clear from a glance at his dossier that O’va is an incredible asset to this community, with his commitment to engage others in shared activity and his drive to push himself further each day. It is immediately clear from the fruit of his labours that he has no signs of slowing down any time soon, and why should he when he so clearly has such fun doing it?

It is therefore our distinct pleasure to nominate O’va Aka Contributor for the Rank of Commander, with all the rights and privileges thereunto. Congratulations! Outstanding work!
