A snipe0hunt turned classified mission with a missing starship? Color me intrigued! I'm excited to see how this develops!

I am fascinated with Hey'xet's point of view! You do a really great job bringing them to life and showing an alternative way to interacting with things we normally see from a very human perspective. I'm really enjoying reading this as it progresses!

A deepening mystery! You bring out true empathy for the Ivalans, the desire to show off their vessel and greet Starfleet, only to have it go tragically and horrifically wrong in ways they could not have expected really works against the tension and the growing horror of the plot. I'm catching up on the chapters, but always look forward to reading more!

Ooooh, another update! I like how L'Rena and Traven are both clear commanders both who command respect but they operate in very different ways. It makes for a good alliance and a good set of foils. I especially like the scene near the end where you show the passage of time with little vignettes like Dr. Paldor showing the Caelarian farmer how to drink water. It's a simple but effective way of bringing forward more narrative characterization and showing the passage of time. Great stuff, I'm excited to read what comes next!

Dilithium Exhaustion

I like Grieves awkward dialogue - I think a lot of us can relate to the jitters of facing someone in authority! I have never thought about dilithium farts before, but thanks! Now I'll never get that out of my head :D

derelict vessel and a missing crew is always a good set up! Just the right amount of mystery and intrigue to keep the plot moving forward. I particularly like the descriptions of Corbin's telepathy as one more sense in an arsenal of information. Not overpowered and not forced, but present. That helps bring the character alive in my mind :)

Taking on Water
October 30, 2025 3:44 PM

Cute, fun and a bit absurd, I like how this feels like old TNG where they would add in a comedic scene during heavy storylines, just to remind everyone that exploring the frontier was not just serious, but fun. I like the irrational ragte and the final wall punch from Talat, and Idris being willing to get things done behind his back. Overall very fun!

Beneath a Forgotten Sky – 2

I love the description here. From the jagged wound of the crevice to the smoke, the towering obelisks, the doors, it all sets the perfect eerie scene for the action that follows. It's a tense and memorable cliffhanger that leaves the audience wanting to read more. I look forward to reading what comes next!

This is an engaging chapter. I like the clear characterization of the different team members including your Klingon and Romulan voices. I also like how accessible the advanced treknobabble feels. It's a good progression with some fun foreshadowing and I look forward to reading what comes next!

Setting up Shop

What a lovely beginning! I love the walk through and the wonder at a new ship, the personal touches and the ssweet and grounded characterization of Berny with her family. This is a character we can relate to, and root for. I am excited to see what the vallejo and her crew finds as they explore!

That is a lot of holograms on the roster! And yet they each have a fun and recognizable personality that helps the narrative flow nicely. I like the humor and detail you give in the crew's preparations for this undercover contact mission, it really sets up the upcoming action nicely! I look forward to reading more!

The Listener Who Talks a Good Game
October 29, 2025 2:33 PM

I like that first sentence "They had called the diplomat in." like "oh no, stuff got serious, gotta call in a *diplomat!* I like how everything is slowly coming together. The Blythe now knows about the nefarious Ferengi, plots are falling into place and slowly the story is shaping up. Poor Tyler and Danny, spending this trip on communiques. Nobody likes paperwork! :D

Together again! It's always good to see you two team up! Personally I want to see the holopics that Tyler took in the conduit. I never thought about that aspect of travel before! I look forward to seeing what shenanigans the two of you get up to!

Phase 3…profit
October 29, 2025 3:55 AM

Not gonna lie, I'm a total sucker for independent rogues. I love the unique perspective a profit-driven Ferengi brings to the table. Their views on Federation equality are a fun contrast with the typical Starfleet types. I'm intrigued to see where this goes!

Corbin gives new definition to a Type-A personality! I love the characterization coming out in the ready room and conversation with his far more relaxed XO. I also like the shadows hanging over the heads of the characters from the loss of the Columbia. The foreshadowing of Klingon engagement is interesting and I look forward to reading the next installment!

Screaming Trees
October 28, 2025 2:48 PM

Poor Ixabi! I like how much we can empathize with the Betazoid's overactive telepathic pick ups and how exhausting that must be. I also like how thrilled everyone is to meet a horta! It's a great slice of a new contact and a wonderful way to make Varjon feel alive and real. I'm excited to read more!

I very much like how you previous story set up the relationships in this briefing, which makes the dialogue feel natural and easy to follow. Each personality stays steady and the information is presented to the reader evenly without feeling like a lecture. It's a great set up and I look forward to seeing what drama comes from first contact!

The Eyes Follow – Part 2
October 27, 2025 8:18 PM

Unresolved emotions is always the best way to start a new adventure! I really like the start with Maria's point of view, noticing - and the narration pointing out that she's over-exaggerating all the little differences, which is all too easy for people to do when they change from something known into something new. And I like the hints of how the Captain's relationship could affect the mission, backed up by the little pre-transport morning scene. Ahh, all that unspoken drama. I look forward to seeing how it all progresses!

I really value the character development here, how it sets each group of relationships in their 'normal' state of shore leave with the ghosts of losing the Columbia, and the realistic interactions, arguments, joking and kidding between close friends. I was amused at Ortega's ruse to get out of horseback riding and pleased at Starok's Vulcan stoicism. I particularly like the Captain's worry about a brand new ship and what could go wrong, it's a refreshing and realistic way of approaching a new command rather than the "ooh yay shiny new ship!" trope. All in all it's a really good way to meet the crew and get invested in what will happen next for them!

Poor Krek, how embarrassing! Why do I forsee a Klingon kicking an exocomp in the future? :D I like the characterizations of the bottom deckers, and how some of them are immediately onboard with the upcoming ceremony versus those who just don't get it. A fun set up!
