The Wildfire Phenomenon has afflicted the Cestus Sector Block with heightened occurrences of stellar storms, coronal mass ejections, and stars emitting unprecedented levels of high-energy radiation.

In support of Task Force 21’s Starbase 611, Audacity Squadron has been sent on a rescue mission to a decade-old Federation research outpost in the Yaldrion System. The F-class star has bombarded the colony world, Finegarden, with elevated surface radiation, destroying their weather control systems. While Yaldrion isn’t as near to the Gorn border as the Cestus system itself, Starfleet Command reports of Gorn vessels raiding deeper and deeper into Federation territory, putting the colonists in greater risk.

– USS Audacity, USS Kahlo and RRW Zdenia have been charged with evacuating Finegarden’s civilian population of nearly 16 000. USS Almagest awaits at Ardana to support relocation of the refugees beyond the Wildfire Phenomenon.

– In the absence of the evacuated civilian archaeologists, USS Constellation and USS Meridian have been assigned to secure the twenty square kilometer archaeological landscape around which the colony was grown for the express purpose of excavating.
