Fresh off her shakedown cruise, the Trenton must quickly perform some work-up training, and head to the Hodian Expanse to help respond to a series of emerging crises and a myriad of threats. Problems are compounded by the fact that most of the stars in the belt form an enclave of unclaimed space surrounded by Federation territory on all but one side. The areas abundance of rare and valuable resources has drawn nearby regional power to send ‘mining expeditions’ to stake a claim. It has also drawn its fair share of pirates, criminal, smugglers, mercenaries, miners, entrepenuers, desperados, dead enders and fortune seekers from all over the Alpha Quadrant.

The Trenton Squadron must contend with all of this while simultaneously assisting in the infrastructure upgrades and expansion of the lone Federation colony in the belt which had seen its population rise from 11000 to nearly 40000 in the past six months.

On Eos Station they must deal with an increase in traffic, crimes, and trade after completing their recent modernization and rotating roughly a third of their crew over the past 6 months.
