“I have been, and always shall be, your friend.” – Spock
A good morrow to you all, friends new and old. It’s been a busy few months since we turned back the tide of the Vaadwaur and collectively won back the soul of the Federation from the clutches of doom. As the galaxy reassembles itself and looks outward once more, I’m proud to say that Task Force 47 is already back at work, taking their journey to frontiers old and new. We’ve welcomed a bevy of new members to the team and celebrated the return of some old friends; our family continues to grow, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Two new interstellar faces have slid their way into 47’s asset roster as well! The Parliament-class USS Roseau takes a spot as the backbone of the task force’s logistical and engineering tasks, a hardworking and tight-run utility cruiser running projects throughout the frontier. On the other side of things, USS Enceladus, a Luna-class light explorer, takes exploring the vast glowing expanse of the Rolor Nebula as her personal challenge to overcome. Featuring an interstellar greenhouse, the frontier is in its roots, both mechanical and biological.
Task Force 47 is never one to miss an opportunity for good food and good company, and our officers have been enjoying a well-earned break on Bajor as part of the Shore Leave campaign. We’ve shared wine and broken bread, explored our regrets of the past and our invigorating hopes for the future. It has truly been a wonderful treat to write together in such a communal fashion, and our thanks go to the Intel Office for the opportunity!
These last few months have also been a time for me to reflect on my journey in Task Force 47, as I approach a full year as its CO. I continue to be wowed and buoyed by the kindness, camaraderie and commitment of our members, who daily bring a smile to my face.
To see why, I hope you’ll join me in celebrating their latest adventures and achievements.

- USS Atlantis & USS Canopus: As Atlantis lies at rest in the shipyard’s arm, having single-handedly defended Betazed, some of its crew find themselves faced with a new home and a new opportunity. Canopus slips from the dock with a family on the mend, eager to explore the sunrise. But first, Commodore Theodorus must face an unexpected challenge: mandatory fun.
- USS Republic – The crew are (in some cases reluctantly) enjoying shore leave, but excitement is never far away from the crew of Republic. Some say their greatest foe to a holiday is themselves, but Kyban may yet hold unexpected challenges.

- An old station gets a new lease on life as Starbase 11 gains a new commanding officer, overseeing the resumption of day-to-day life in the Talos Cluster. USS Pulsar, fresh from her harrowing experience in Nightfall, is assigned to SB-11 to continue her intended mission as a training ship, and a return to normalcy. But the station is quickly waylaid as a mysterious entity begins stalking the halls…

- USS Typhon: The crew of Typhon are struggling to find their way not only on the frontier, but also in their new homestead, as the ship returns to service from the reserves. A collision of old hands and new faces rattles the walls of an old ship that’s looking for new meaning, as much as the people who now call it home. It’s a long way out into the black, and there’s plenty of epiphanies to go around.
- USS Daedalus: After the events of Nightfall at K-74, Daedalus has some broken hearts to go with its damaged wings. As they find themselves stuck in the slow lane escorting Typhon to the frontier, the crew come to realise that escaping your problems isn’t easy on such a small ship. Lovers and enemies will find that tomorrow is only a choice away.
- USS Chawla – With the rescue of Bell Rock and the end of Nightfall, Captain Rigras and Commander Bearsong of the Chawla attend Task Force 47’s social event on Bajor. A little bit of cooking, a little bit of accidental bloodwine, and a small crisis of alcohol later, and the hardworked light explorer’s staff seem finally ready to enjoy their hard-earned vacation.
- USS Melbourne: Originally scheduled to have been reassigned to a frigate, an emergency distress call around Sauria prompts the old crew of Oakland plus whatever hands can be scrounged up to board whatever has working engines. In this case, USS Melbourne, functional but still battered after the Battle of Andoria answers the call. Racing off as best as the old ship can manage, they find themselves squaring off against a very strange and very lost group of Kzinti… Then, with several months in dock for repair and refit behind them, Melbourne faces her captain’s biggest hurdle yet- socialisation with her peers and superiors. It’s a long struggle with social anxiety and insecurities on this relaxing vacation to Bajor.
- USS Sausalito: The crew of the Sausalito has had a rough few months full of rescues, delivering supplies, relief efforts after a natural disaster, and even an attack by the Vaadwaur. Now the crew is finally getting a chance to relax and take a breath at Task Force 47’s social event, along with other task force members.
- USS Thunderchild: When civilians from Free Haven start mysteriously disappearing, USS Thunderchild is pulled off of border patrol duty in the Badlands to aid the colony and investigate the disappearances. With signs that almost, but not quite, point to the Breen, the venerable heavy cruiser and her seasoned crew have to race against time to figure out the identity of the attackers and put a stop to them before they strike again.
