Task Force Updates
Since our last report in August Task Force 21 has seen some exciting changes at the helm. A huge shoutout to Fleet Admiral Teylas Ramar, Commander Aaslin Braim, and Fleet Captain Alexandria Mitchell for their tireless efforts in laying a strong foundation for our success in the coming year. We can’t thank them enough for their dedication and long hours they put in getting us here.
As I take on the role of Task Force Commanding Officer, I’m thrilled to welcome Fleet Captain Edwin Wagner, known to many as Aaron on Discord, as my Executive Officer. With his prior experience as both TFXO and TFCO, his expertise will be invaluable as we chart our course forward.
Additionally we’re excited to have Fleet Captain James MacLeod and Lieutenant Commander Aaron Giesbrecht stepping into Task Group Commander roles. It’s a privilege to work alongside such a talented team and I couldn’t be more eager for what’s ahead as we push the boundaries of exploration and readiness!
Fiction Updates
- USS Eagle – Iziraa and Nick Saunders escape with Mara in a Klingon Bird of Prey, evading an Orion Cruiser. Back on the Eagle, Captain Kirby is confronted by Lieutenant Weaver over his decision to allow Saunders to resign from Starfleet. Meanwhile, the Eagle and its crew are reassigned to the new task force, 21. Captain Kirby reinstates Saunders and informs the engineer that he and Mara are being transferred to Starbase 93. Kirby meets with Roger Allen and gives him a choice for his future – either will change things for the young officer. Lori Weaver, Haia Ohtana, Iziraa, and Renee Parker shared lunch to discuss the future and the new Alita class they are assigned. They end by toasting Kurtox and his sacrifice at Aldavi.
- USS Inglewood – Lieutenant Commander Oriam Po’Ma takes command of the USS Inglewood with his new XO, Lieutenant Sarah Allen, a former classmate from the Academy. They meet on the bridge and are ordered to report to Starbase 21 for further orders.
- USS San Jose – Captain Scott Bowman and the bridge crew arrive to take command of the new command. A tour of the ship commences, and they soon depart for Starbase 1. A sudden anomaly appears in transit to a stop at Delta 11 Outpost and begins to pull the ship in. Unable to stop, the San Jose is pulled through. On the other end, they appear in the middle of many older-class starships only to discover they are in the past – the year is 2257.
Ulysses Exploratory Cruiser Division
- USS Ulysses – A diplomatic meeting attempts to mend an unstable situation between two sides. Rebellion and order are at odds with the crew of the division in the middle. Attempts to prevent another failure in the power grid initially succeed but are foiled when a direct attack on the prison complex occurs on the day of a carefully planned interrogation. The captain and crew scramble to reach the prisoner and, upon finding him, discover he is less of a criminal and more of a turncoat – a rebel who watches the world around them burn as they desperately fight through a crumbling base. Backup eventually arrives, and Captain MacLeod boards the rebel ship, confronting the leader who inspired death and destruction. In the end, justice is served with Jarell Korrin’s death and his ship’s destruction. The Ulysses and Chimera return to Starbase 21 for much-needed repair and rest.
Later, an attack by the Gorn on Velara Prime begins as the planet and a patrol ship send out a desperate distress call to Starfleet. Who will answer? And will they respond in time?
Columbia Explorer Division
- USS Columbia – The crew of the Galaxy Class have been waiting for a long time and are getting tired of being told to hurry up and wait. A four-week breakneck refit has made Commander Noli Auru a very proud XO. He must now grapple with low morale. Arriving on the bridge, he is given news of a communication from the Fourth Fleet Command. Is this the chance to get out and move they’ve been waiting for?
The senior staff is drawn to the bridge, some by duty rosters and others by a call from the XO. He arrives on the bridge and informs them they will be on the move. The rest of the ship is called to departure stations, and the crew moves with a new purpose and a new home. What comes next? The XO knows but is holding back at the moment.
Montana Station Squadron
- Montana Station – Montana Station becomes the target of an undercover operation from some fellow officers in the Fourth Fleet who are searching for answers.
- USS Nova – The USS Nova is working on a research operation on a planet that was, until recently, under the control of a man calling himself ‘Emperor.’ He is arrested, and Commander Park is put in charge of evaluating and investigating the planet to see what capacity exists for a new colonial plant in the future.
- USS Perseverance – Captain Walton and her crew have finished assisting the USS Nova with the planet and the Emperor. The science chief, Hazel Wallaker, is recovering from the trauma of being shot with a heavy stun blaster. Orders are being finalized so that Perseverance can return to her science mission. The great mysteries of the rimward await.
- USS Dragonfly – The Dragonfly is on assignment in the Rimward as an Emissary, working to support colonies and ensure less-than-savory characters know to stay away from them.
- USS Gagarin – Captain Dread and her crew have been tasked with investigating Tougan and his newly formed ‘Tougun Network’ in the wake of the fallout from leaving some elements of the Syndicate out in the cold for Starfleet to clean up. An old enemy of Tougun is revealed to be on a revenge tour, challenging the crew of the Gagarin to decide what and where to go next.
- USS Franklin D. Roosevelt – The Ambassador-class starship is assigned to Montana Station under the command of Squadron XO Captain Peter Crawford. The ship is in terrible shape after the Frontier Day events and needs a refit and repair. Crawford begins the clean-up process with Montana Station Director of Engineering Commander Miados while also starting to build his senior staff.
