New Task Force Commanding Officers

August 11, 2023

Hello Bravo Fleet!

The Operations Office is here to give you the latest news and update on our staff!

New Task Force Commanding Officers

This week, we received the resignations of Fleet Captain Th’lora Vehl and Commander Theo Barrington. Due to real-life commitments, Brian and Heidi feel they no longer have the time commitments for their duties in this role. We thank them for their hard work, time and effort. We are sure that their Task Forces will miss them greatly.

As a result of these resignations, we spoke to the current Operations Staff about whether or not anyone was interested in these roles. Many were, and we now can share with you all who will be your new task force commanding officers.

Stepping up into the role of Task Force 72 Commanding Officer is Captain Gernomio Maverick Fontana. Aaron has served as the task force executive officer for some time and has shown true passion and dedication to its members. Furthermore, he is an excellent example of how members can enjoy various activities.

Transferring from Task Force 47 to Task Force 86 to become its Task Force Commanding Officer is Commander Taavik. Starbuck has been leading Task Force 47 for over three months now (from being its TFXO to TFCO) and again has proven what it takes to lead one of our units. Starbuck brings experience to TF86 to ensure it continues to prosper.

With Starbuck’s transfer, that leaves us with Task Force 47. To ensure continuity for Task Force 47, we appointed Fleet Admiral Elsie Drake, better known as JonM. JonM has worn many hats in Bravo Fleet over the years, and we are pleased that he is taking on this mantle.

On behalf of everyone, I want to thank Aaron, Starbuck and JonM for stepping up into these new roles, and I wish them all the best.

New Task Force Executive Officers Needed! We want you!

With the above appointments, we seek new Task Force Executive Officers to join Task Forces 47 and 72. We are looking for candidates who have the time to take on these roles; they will be the type of people who want to give back to our community and ensure our members have a great time. In return, we can provide you with training and support to understand your new role. We can provide you with a friendly, supportive team on the BFC that works closely together to strive to provide the best Star Trek community experience online.

Those who are interested, please apply here. You have until now and Saturday, 19th August 2023, to apply for these roles; however, if we find suitable candidates before the deadline, we may appoint them early. We want to announce who the new Task Force Executive Officers are soon.

You must understand what being a Task Force Executive Officer means when applying. Task Force Executive Officers are the deputy leaders of the five Task Forces. They share the responsibility for developing a sense of camaraderie in their units, organising competitions, and helping members navigate the rank system by nominating the appropriate OCS rewards for their activity. They are also members of Bravo Fleet Command, where they have a voice in the overall direction of the fleet. Subordinate to the Bravo Fleet Operations Officer, they work in partnership with their TFCOs to ensure consistent opportunities for members to get involved across the fleet. TFXOs must also be exemplars of activity by demonstrating at least moderately strong activity levels and participating conscientiously on Discord.

Generally speaking, a member should be at least a Lieutenant Commander to apply to this position, demonstrating familiarity with Bravo Fleet. Previous staff experience is not required. It would be wise for you to familiarise yourself with the Operations Office Policy to understand the full range of expectations.

If this is right up your market, please apply or contact me via Discord.

Coming Soon…

In the meantime, watch this space as Task Force reports will be coming out from your friendly Task Force Staff over the next few weeks!
