Fleet Actions are one of the most exciting times of year, and the Engineering Office always tries to sprinkle a little something in right before they kick off. This year, with the launch of the Bravo Fleet Management System v3.9 (which is now live), it’s a brand new Notification Center that tracks all notifications you’ve been sent from directly within BFMS. This means that as you’re writing away during the Fleet Action, you’re guaranteed to see every kind comment left on your stories, and once the Fleet Action ends, you’re sure to not miss any of those exciting notifications about all the shinies that follow.
While this release marks a big step forward for the usability of BFMS, it’s also only the first step as we work to modernize how you are notified about what’s happening on BFMS. In the future, we intend to introduce customizability in how and where you receive notifications, supporting configuration options for BFMS, email and Discord, as well as to introduce additional messaging and social features.
Speaking of shinies, BFMS v3.9 also brings something new for our big earners to spend their hard-earned prestige on. For those with nine or more non-affiliate commands, a new Flotilla command unit type has been introduced that is capable of holding Squadrons and Divisions, expanding the surface area for how one organizes their commands.
Beyond these headlining items, we’ve also made a few targeted updates in this release to competitions and other areas of BFMS, and rumor has it that Bolty might also be tracking some pesky inter-dimensional, time traveling tribbles…
