TF17: Deep Space 9 History lesson (Crossword puzzle)

You receive word from your Department Head that your ship is being sent to the Gamma Quadrant, one of the first ships to be sent there after the devastating Dominion War, on a mission of exploration, diplomacy and First Contact.  Your ship will briefly lay over at Deep Space 9 as new crew, equipment and supplies are loaded onto the ship for the extended mission. As your head fills with the potential of discovery, adventure and exploration, your Department Head then drops a bombshell on all of your heads. The First Officer wants everyone to study up on the history of Deep Space 9. There will even be testing completed from every crewmember, and this testing will become part of everyone’s potential opportunity for promotion and awards.
