Focus on the Negative

Description

The Vaadwaur Invasion. The Blackout. Ending up in Underspace. The Borg.
It’s fair to say that the galaxy has not been kind lately – and neither have we to our characters.

In this writing competition, we ask you to take a step back from the action and dive into the aftermath.

Pair up with one or more other players and write a Joint Post between two characters who take a moment – whether over a drink, during a debriefing, or while patching each other up – to reflect on everything they’ve been through since joining Starfleet.

Focus especially on the negative:

  • What have they lost?
  • What burdens are they carrying?
  • What parts of themselves have changed—and maybe not for the better?

The twist:
Your characters aren’t just reflecting—they’re competing.
Each one is convinced they had it worse.

So go ahead: let them one-up each other and argue over who really drew the shortest end of the stick.
