USS Nestus (Archive)

Fourth Fleet

With an etymology dating back to a mythological river god, the USS Nestus serves as a winding link between lakes of mystery and the oceanic depths of undiscovered knowledge. Operating out of the Fourth Fleet’s Starbase 72 in the Minos Korva system, the Raven-class USS Nestus is equipped to venture on missions of a month or less.  Science crews of less than twenty are rotated onto the ship, from the starbase, on a mission-by-mission basis.

At the close of 2399, Commander Taes was assigned to captain the USS Nestus, in her first posting as commanding officer.  Leveraging her Starfleet career in the social sciences, Commander Taes leads her specialist teams on archaeology and anthropology missions, until a full-time command is available for her.  Be it missions of exploration, research or diplomacy, the Nestus crew seeks out the undefined bonds that hold civilizations together.
