The USS Adelaide is an Intrepid-class science vessel tasked with more detailed and comprehensive studies than the other ship in Andromeda Division. Smaller the ship draws from the main crew of the USS Andromeda to fill out its science team offering the division quick and accurate data collection.

Designated as a fast response unit Andromeda Division has been assembled to act on intelligence concerning the safety of the Federation’s borders and border worlds. There activities are not always tactical and can be varied depending on what is required of them.
