The USS Unification is a Nebula-class exploratory cruiser assigned to Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron, operating along the Federation’s border region near The Triangle. Unification is a flexible, multi-role platform supporting scientific research, diplomatic initiatives, and combat operations in high-threat environments.
Under the command of Captain Julia Barrett, a recently reinstated Starfleet veteran, the Unification blends technical versatility with a renewed sense of purpose. The ship is equipped for deep-space patrols, advanced sensor and reconnaissance operations, and is a stabilizing presence in contested or diplomatically sensitive regions.
With a capable crew and a mission portfolio ranging from peacekeeping to crisis response, the Unification is key to extending Starfleet’s presence into unstable zones. It operates closely with Ulysses and other squadron assets, often acting as the Federation’s first responder where diplomacy and firepower must travel.
Unification is a personal 2-2-2 rated fiction.
Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron
Commander, Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron (COMCYCLEXCRURON) is a flexible, mission-driven formation operating under the authority of Border Operations Command, Fourth Fleet, near the volatile region known as The Triangle. Under the command of Fleet Captain James C. MacLeod, the squadron executes high-risk exploratory, tactical, and diplomatic missions across contested and developing sectors where Federation influence remains tenuous.
Formed in the wake of the Raeyan Incident and tempered by the hard lessons of Operation Iron Veil, the squadron embodies Starfleet’s forward-deployed philosophy: agile, resilient, and self-reliant.
The squadron’s senior leadership exemplifies a blend of tactical precision, frontier determination, and the unspoken trust forged in battle. Whether charting unstable regions of subspace or facing down emergent hostile powers, the Cyclone Exploratory Cruiser Squadron stands prepared to do what others cannot — carry the Federation into the unknown and hold the line when no one else will.
