his goals.

History

Born in 2371, Doran Thoor a thaan (male) who grew up in the rural confines of the Great Ice Plans upon Andoria and listening to the stories of elder relatives. They told tales of how they gained prestige by serving in the Andorian Imperial Guard and received recognition for their feats in battle.

It sounded like those days of adventure were thousands of years in the past, because Doran’s family group were silk merchants and traders had no stories of glory or of adventure.  He would travel with his family from planet to planet and starbase to starbase trading for supplies and goods.  As Andorian silk was in high demand.

As a young child did not grasp the world around him. He had wanted to join the military and fight epic battles, but his parents attempted to teach him that the times of battle were in the past. Needless to say, his aggressive nature got him into trouble.

The first time he met a human when he was 14 years old while visiting Earth. His family had traveled to the legendary planet and home of Starfleet for business.

After days of pleading, his family finally gave in and took the young man to visit a few museums and Starfleet Academy. He met different races and spoke to cadets and inquired about the details of entering Starfleet and what was required.

At first he did not think much of the humans he met, but he gained a bit of reverence for them as he learned more about their history and place in creating the Federation.

Over the next five years, he dedicated himself to studies and was accepted into Starfleet Academy. During his time at the academy he built a number of friendships, but his aggressive attitude also caused a bit of friction.

He did not, however, hesitate to stand up for himself when he felt Archer was overstepping his bounds. Doran excelled, especially when there were honors to be had. He worked and trained hard. Sometimes his dedication to studied caused tension with his friends, but they learned that his stubborn tenacity would either serve him well or have to change over time.

By the time he reached his senior year, he had a number of experiences, including having one of his antenna sheared off in a freak accident that required him to gain help from others. He leaned that teamwork is often the best strategy.

Academy Junior Review

He particularly excels at tactics, space navigation, armed and unarmed combat and, enjoys debate which provides a good foundation for diplomacy.

USS Hercules

As a fresh cadet and Andorian to boot, he found simple duties to be less adventurous than he had expected which caused him to be more caustic with other than he wanted. His performance on away missions and on duty were exemplary. During a first contact mission, he prevented the away team from disrupting an internal dispute between political factions. His quick thinking prevented the team from interfering and breaking the prime directive. While the XO and he had a heated exchange, the captain supported the ensign and gave him a promotion.
