Appearance
Amanda Forsthe is a human female of British descent in her late 30’s. She stands 5ft9ins tall and has a slim, but athletic build. She has pale skin, high cheekbones and intent blue eyes framed by black hair cut with fringed bangs.
She has a laconic and louche demeanour that is accompanied by an easy stance.
Personality
Amanda Forsythe displayed the type of moral plasticity during her training at Starfleet Academy that brought her to the attention of Starfleet Intelligence early in her career.
She has a sharp, laconic wit and is a born student of paralanguage, semiotics and psychology. This makes her one hell of a poker – player.
Forsythe has been a serving Starfleet Intelligence officer for nearly 18 years and is a perplexingly hard person to know, seldom revealing her true motivations for anything and preferring to let situations develop to ascertain when they can be turned to her advantage.
She retains a cut – glass English accent and wields an equally cutting sense of humour.
History
Born to the descendants of a well – established lineage of Scottish aristocracy, derived from the Gaelic ‘Fearsithe’, meaning ‘man of peace’, composed of ‘fear’ (man) and ‘sithe’ (peace); the Forsythe family name carries notable connections to the British peerage, including The Forsyth family of Stirlingshire and included several peers of the realm. In a curious coincidence, her ancestor Peter Forsythe was also a member of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) during WW2 and began a family tradition in espionage that Amanda carries on in the present day 25th Century.
Originally graduating from Starfleet Academy in 2385 AD as an Ensign with Starfleet Security, she was soon recruited as an Intelligence Operative in 2386 AD and was deployed in an Intelligence gathering role for HUMINT (human intelligence) missions.
Whilst much of her career details are heavily redacted, she was heavily involved with intelligence operations to counter Tal Shiar operations by the Romulan Free States and was also involved in intelligence – gathering when the Sovereignty of Khaless ceded from the Klingon Empire and engaged in hostilities against the Federation.
In 2399, she was assigned to intelligence – gathering operations along the former Demilitarized Zone and charged with gathering data on the Cardassian True Way terrorist movement and the resurgent New Marquis resistance fighters.
In 2401 AD, she was assigned command of the Ortiz – class corvette, USS Lysander and charged with assembling a crew to provide a rapid – response capability to counter incidents deemed as ‘Special Circumstances’ by Starfleet Command and transport specialist intelligence and contact teams on operational deployments
