Aelin Maori (aka Harper) is someone with an expansive toolkit and the skills to use them. Whether it’s taking a role in facilitating our competition sphere, regaling us with moving adventures amongst the stars or challenging her fellow members in the gaming arena, Harper continues to be an important part of the Bravo Fleet family. We are exceedingly pleased today to nominate them for promotion to the rank of Captain recognition of all their hard work.

Writing is an important part of Harper’s activity, having earnt 160 Service Ribbons since their last award. Whether it’s tales of haunting ship graveyards, told with expert tension or a harrowing fight for the stability of the multiverse that keeps us on the edge of our seats, Harper’s writing is simultaneously epic and intimate and showcases a skill with words. They’ve also been a huge part of our writing sandbox, Starbase Bravo, taking part in the regular writing roulette. Working with their fellow members, Harper created a plethora of stories, earning 13 Duty Ribbons in the process.

Harper has also been an important presence in the gaming arena, earning 37 Joint Action Ribbons for a variety of activities, including several sojourns to a galaxy far, far away as host of our regular Star Wars: The Old Republic events. We’re not sure if it has anything to do with the multiversal portal, but Harper continues to inspire other members, whether with a starship or a lightsaber.

Harper’s contributions to the competition sphere have also been impressive. Not only for the 40 competitions they’ve entered, 24 of which were as part of the recent Fleet Action and earned them 24 shiny Challenge Coins, but also for the 6 competitions they ran for others. Since their last award, they have challenged members to create exciting new characters, compose inwardly focused fictions and spread some madness in their gaming activities. They’re no stranger to the podium either, winning themselves an Action Medal with Moon Cluster and an Action Medal with Planet Cluster, as well as a much sought-after Starfleet Gold Star for taking first place in Multiversal Vignette competition.

Since January 2025, Harper has been a continuous part of our Operations Team, developing their own toolkit as they continued to be a force for member growth across multiple Task Forces. Initially Task Group 63 Commander, then Task Force 47 Executive Officer, Harper worked diligently to not only help new members take their first steps amongst our vast array of opportunities, but also to encourage and facilitate experienced members in their efforts. Throughout her time in Task Force 47, she was a steady source of novel ideas and insightful suggestions to our work. It was for this work that she was recognised by the Medal of Commendation, awarded each year to those members who demonstrate excellence and dedication. In November 2025, Harper took their impressive skillset to new shores as Task Force 86 Executive Officer, where they continued to demonstrate a commitment to developing and supporting the efforts of our members. In January 2026, she took up the mantle of Commanding Officer, leading her team with a steady hand and a drive to develop an ever more supportive and exciting environment for all our members.

Harper continues to display consistent variety in all their activities, not only as a participant but as a facilitator and driver of activity. They are not only a member of great skill but a leader who has been a vital part of members’ journeys. We are exceptionally proud to nominate them today for the most deserved rank of Captain. Congratulations!

Aelin (aka Harper) joined us here in TF47 just under 5 months ago, stepping up to take the mantle of TFXO, and they have wowed us with their commitment, work ethic and good nature. Today, we are glad to recognise their wonderful contributions by nominating Aelin Maori for the rank of Commander.

Since receiving their Meritorious Service Cross in January, they have continued to be a beacon of energy and engagement both in our Discord lounge and across the activities of the fleet. In that time, they’ve submitted to an impressive 51 competitions, including 39 as part of the extremely successful Nightfall Fleet Action, which earned them 39 Challenge Coins. Aelin found success in an amazing five fleet action competitions, earning 3 Bronze stars, as well as 2 Gold Stars for taking first place in both of our brand new collaborative competitions, ‘Red Alert: Battle Plan’ and ‘Voice Acting’. Prior to the kick-off of the Fleet Action, they also earned an Action Medal with Moon Cluster for their submission to the Valentine’s themed ‘Discovering Cupid’ competition.

Aelin has also earned an impressive set of ribbons, with 34 Service Ribbons for their adventures with USS Sausolito and 7 Duty Ribbons for their collaborative writing aboard Starbase Bravo and USS Valkyrie. Aelin’s stories are always a rollercoaster of excitement, and we constantly look forward to their next instalment wherever they may find themselves writing. Aelin also earned 80 Joint Action Ribbons for their team gaming in Helldivers 2, and we are sure their teammates join us in saluting their teamwork and commitment.
