The way it moved answered the question before Kyra could.

“Nope.”

The Gordwark dipped below the surface. Flashing its dragon like wings. It got about 20 yards away and then accelerated up towards them. Right before it was about to breach the surface and launch itself at them Ensign Tim came rushing in from the side and rammmed himself into the side of the local Shark/dragon.

“Don’t move. He thinks your food.” Tim screeched as slammed back into the water.

Every instinct told Mara to run. Instead, she forced herself completely still.
“Not moving,” she said tightly. “Very enthusiastically not moving.”

Tesa was petrified and thus didn’t need any further urging.

After being momentarily dazed the Gordwark whirled about in the water and stabbed towards Tim. Unluckily for the Gordwark it had not noticed Luke rushing up from below him. Just before the native creature launched itself at Tim, Luke nosed punted the thing 25 feet up out of the water. The blow had been so violent it had snapped one of the Gondwarks vertebrae into three pieces.

As the massive Orca was failing back down towards the water he yelled, “Get your friends to safety Tim!”

Tim swam over to the shallows near Tesa and Mara and squeaked, “Hurry both of you, grab onto my dorsal fin.”

“You don’t need to ask twice.” Mara waded towards Tim and wrapped both hands firmly around his dorsal fin.

Tesa, still in shock fumbled over to Tim and grabbed ahold.

The calamity between Luke and the wounded and now enraged Gordwark failed away less than ten metres behind them. As Tim began swimming towards the shore he was careful to stay near the surface and not swim so fast as to cause either of the women to lose their grip. Off to Tim’s front right he could see the four Beluga’s swimming back towards the villa. He was heartened to see ‘Jemi’ surface and turn to look back as if to make sure they were all okay.

A minute later they were all back as the villas dock and veranda at the waters edge. As soon as Tim deposited Tesa and Mara on the little dock he turned and began bounding back out towards where the spit had disappeared.

Mara pulled herself onto the dock, breathing hard as seawater streamed from her clothes. When Tim immediately turned back towards the bay, she reached after him.

“Tim, wait!”

“Timmy no! Its too dangerous!” Jemi surfaced and screeched.

“I gotta help Luke!” Tim hollered as he swam towards the still churning sea in the distance.

His answer stopped her. Mara watched him go, fear tightening in her chest.

“Then bring him back,” she called after him.

She turned towards Kyra and offered her an arm. “Come on. Let’s get away from the water.”

Seconds later Mee IH zoomed through the Villa’s front entrance and out onto the deck.

“What in the fiddlesticks is going on! There I was signing autographs for my throngs of adoring fans, and all of a sudden everyone on the beech started watching the whale wars going on in the bay! Oh mylanta! Babe, are you okay?” Mee IH urged his cradle forward as he saw a soaked and disheveled looking Tesa behind helped up the small set of stairs by another blonde human woman.

Mara helped Kyra up the steps, still glancing towards the violence in the bay.

“She’s shaken, but she’s on her feet,” Mara told Mee IH. “Tim went back to help Luke.”

Her grip tightened around Kyra’s arm.

“They both saved our lives.”

Mee IH, also being hard wired to ‘protect the pod’ kicked his repulsor into high gear and raced out over the water towards Tim who he could see lurching through the water in the distance.

In the distance Mee IH was able to see the final death throws of the Gordwark as a clearly wounded Luke gripped the sharkdragon in his mouth and thrashed back and forth. With one final whip of his torso Luke ‘the Nuke’ tore the creature in half.

A few minutes later Mee IH had hovered over and joined the other two in devouring the meat and organs of the unlucky attacker.

“So. uh. Tim here…. saved you’re girlfriend eh. Just saying, she would have lost a leg if it wasnt for this kid hitting on your sister when he was.” Luke said as wedged himself against a sand bank and ripped at a piece of  Gordwark eat.

“Da fuk???” Aside from it sounding squeaky, the phraseology meant the same in most languages.

“The big guy is just being nice.” Tim replied as he started nibbling at the meat.

“Oh George and dripping Gracie, I’ve never properly introduced you two have I?” Mee IH as he dropped himself in the water.

The junior cartogrphaer, Ensign Timmesin, who had been snakcing on morsels of keat until now swam foreward a few feet.

“Not properly no, kid.” Luke rhemassive orca clucked as he nosed a another hunk of the carcass towards Mee IH and Tim. The term Kid was an honorific in this context, akin to a human of yesteryear calling an aristocrat a prince or a princess.

Mee IH floated to the surface and made a long exhale before taking in several lungs full of air, knowing this would be likely be a long chat.

“Tim, thanks and…also, if you’re into my sister I don’t want to here nothing about. But I wish you the best, but unless I’m needed foe a speech at a wedding leave me out of it.” Mee IH eyed Tim who just smiled and nodded in acqueiesence. Cetacean courting and mating rituals were often more primal and simple then humanoid ‘drama’.

“By the way, uh, what happened and what the fuck are we eating right now?” Mee IH splurfed as he took a bite of the Gordwarks liver.

Cetacean's to the rescue! Tim and Luke did a brilliant job; but I may have to check Starfleet Regulation, regarding eating the enemy!
