The Paso Robles was still a few hours away from rendezvous with the trill symbiote institute. Zara still had other patients to meet up with. Her time was almost done in her office. She would have to go back up to the bridge and serve a couple more hours before calling it a day.

The Paso Robles would meet up with the institute tomorrow in the Talvath System. The plan was to drop off 10 industrial grade replicators to the Romulan people in order to prevent a global catastrophe.

The colony was attacked by The Vaadwaur. But since it was in a major asset and it was in the far reaches of space they didn’t bother sending troops down they just bombarded it from orbit. It was part of their campaign of fear.

Ever since of the attack, Zara had been pretty busy especially with the junior crew. A lot of them thought about this attack and the attack on Frontiers day last year. It was a lot for most officers to handle. And if that wasn’t bad enough she also had her own demons to deal with when it came to build attacks plus the fact that she be joined soon. At the moment everything seem to be chaotic and almost out of control, but on the other hand everything seemed to be okay. It was okay in the fact that the war was now over, with the Borg and the Vaadwaur.

Zara I wonder if she even just think about it as a war, they’re more like skirmishes. But the moral devastation that both of those conflicts created felt more like a war. The Borg forcing assimilation and of course the fear of campaign struck out through the quadrant by the Vaadwaur.

Even though she didn’t know him well, Zara had made no secret that she was interested in Teral. She had actually asked him to join her in her office not as a doctor and patient but she wanted to ask him for a favor.

Even though the trill Commission oversaw all symbiotes on the Planet of Trill, the institution was a sub organization under them and responsible for emergency procedures and transports of this nature also responsible for overseeing symbiote and host relations after joining.

Zara was going to ask him, to be her advocate during the process. He hoped he would say yes but she wasn’t certain. He was under no obligation to assist her.

She prepared for his arrival as the scene starts to fade away. She needed everything to go perfectly.

Location: USS Paso Robles, Bridge

T’Shan was ready to go, it was near the ending of her shift. She had thought about meeting up with Lira but she knew that Lira was meeting up with Jaxon today.

She had debated about starting a relationship with one of the Vulcans on the ship but none of them seem to be compatible with her personality or her interest. But she found to be very discouraging. Even though on the outside she was a stoic and typical sounding Vulcan on the inside she was anything but a stoic typical Vulcan.

T’Shan was sitting at the helmsman station. For that navigation course was plotted for the Talvath System and they weren’t scheduled to arrive until tomorrow. The only thing she had to do was to check the sensor logs every so often and make Minor adjustments to their course as needed. It was a pretty mundane task and nothing I really required too much of her attention. So she found her mine slipping into other thoughts. While there was a lot of bridge chatter going on, most of it she kept out of because it was just pointless chatter in her eyes.

Mira was sitting in the command chair at the moment. Renato was talking with the chief of the boat over to the side of the bridge. The chief of the boat was advising him a potential profits that could be made. Leave it to a fringe well even while in Starfleet trying to make a profit. Mira couldn’t help but smile.

They weren’t the only ones having small conversations on the bridge. Most of the crew had broken up into smaller groups and we’re talking about thanks only Mira and T’Shan or quiet. She decided she didn’t want to sit on the command Sherry she walked over to T’Shan.

“A penny for your thoughts?” Mira asked her. She was bored and was looking for someone to talk to. To make these last 25 minutes move forward.

T’Shan was not expecting the first officer to come over and start a conversation with her. But then she started to think about the phrase that she used. And then she said, “Commander I don’t require a form of currency to provide you my thoughts!” T’Shan said in a stoic voice, however she meant to be humorous.

Mira could sense that her Vulcan Helmsman was trying to make a joke even though her voice didn’t sound like it. “Duly noted, and if I was to offer you currency it would be more than one penny I can assure you that.”

“Are very young for the boat would be able to find you a suitable level of currency that would be adequate to fulfill the needs of any type of transactional agreement between the two of us.” T’Shan started to explain, to the first officer she was continuing the joke obviously.

“No doubt he would want a percentage of the currency coming through for his time and his services.” Mira sad continuing to keep the joke going. She was curious if they’re chief of the boat was even listening in.

“He would indeed, Commander.” Malek said as he overheard their conversation, and the big Fefengi greedy smile came out.

Mira grinned that she looked over to the chief of the boat. “Hey what happens if I want to cut out the middle man in this transaction?” Mira ask Malek.

“Then I can assure you that the conversation will be beneficial or mutual. With my services I could promise you both.” Malek said both fully and proudfully. He was definitely a people person and he could definitely keep a conversation going specially if he became awkward or silent.

“Then I suppose we’ll have to keep that in mind.” Mira suggested to Malek and T’Shan.

“Indeed.” T’Shan said as the scene starts to fade away, with a three of them talking about profits and this type of conversation.

Clearly it was meant to be more humorous than actual fact.
