Mira Solwick

Mira was born to Victor and Erica Solwick on May 4th 2372. At the young age of 30, she is already a first officer and well on track to becoming captain of her own vessel in the near future. Her first case of command comes aboard the USS Paso Robles. Below is a abbreviated history of her journey to get to this point.

Early Childhood:

From a young age mirror lived on the Vulcan consulate with her two brothers and her sister. She was raised with traditional betas at customs, but she also learned about Vulcan customs which made her a little more adapt to understanding the ritual rights of other societies.

At the age of 10 she went to the bonding process with a young betazoid male by the name of Aryn Tamsin. The two men and instantly connected with one another, and every summer since his 10th birthday the two had lived together at the Vulcan consulate.

Throughout the next 8 years there bond slowly grew. And their friendship became a solid foundation to their eventual marriage. Like most Betazed’s they had an arranged marriage.

Thanks for living on Vulcan they learn how to keep their emotions in check and they would primarily communicate through telepathy, this had many Vulcans believing that there are very well polite mannered.

Like most children they did a good job hiding their mischievous sites to them, even though they didn’t get into serious trouble, they did like to have a lot of fun.

High School Year’s:

The first seven grades seem to drag on forever but by the time they hit middle school before they knew it they’re already in high school. By the time that they both reached high School level, Aryn had moved in with her family on a full-time basis, and so did his cousin who became a diplomat attache.

Mira had a whirlwind romance that really picked up their freshman year and went straight through their senior year, the two fell madly in love with each other. Part of this was due to the fact that they had spent almost every summer together since their 10th birthdays, and now that he was living with them, they’re Bond crew even more and more.

The two of them were inseparable, and growing up together they knew at the other one was like they are now past the honeymoon phase as most humans would call it. And they found out that they actually had a lot in common.

Alyn decided to follow amira’s footsteps and also join starfleet, part of him wanted to protect the Federation but another part of him wanted to see the Federation return back to exploration. Ever since 2385 the Federation had turned it back on his exploration program and then mainly focused on political matters which really seem to interest Mira but for him it was all about exploration the two of them seem to balance each other he reminded her on a regular basis that they were explorers, that’s what Starfleet was designed for it wasn’t meant to be a military force.

Mira respected his decision and she was eager to start the academy with them in the summer of 2392.

Starfleet Academy Years:

Mira and Aryn decided to return home to Betazed to attend the academy. Mira it only gone to her Homeworld for official functions or a couple times a year, so this would actually give her a chance to see what life was like with their own people. She had discovered that most of her people weren’t as disciplined as they were on Vulcan. She found them to be a little chaotic and reckless attention.

Aryn try to warn her about how rambunctious their own race could be, but she slowly adapted at first she found it really hard to put up with the chaos. She had spent most of her first year at the Academy was trying to get her to acclimate to being around non-vulcans. She has spent most of her life being around Vulcans.

Aryn really assisted her with that process, and even though she hadn’t forgotten everything that she had learned in Vulcan it still gave her order and discipline but it also showed her being beta said that she could be compassionate and that the two could blend each other very well.

Mira and Aryn completed the academy in the summer of 2394 and then they had a nice beautiful Betazed wedding back on Betazed. At first she thought about having it on Vulcan but when she was getting a little feedback about having a traditional wedding, she got a lot of resistance towards that.

USS Andromeda, Nebula Class

In July of 2394, Mira and Aryn join the USS Andromeda. She was given the position of assistant chief science officer and primarily worked the beta shift.

In the fall of 2395 she was offered the position of Chief science officer when the current chief left to take a promotion to Second Officer on another ship. At first she felt like she’d only been in the fleet for a little more than a year.

Mira wasn’t sure if she was ready to take on the mantle, plus she just found out that she was pregnant and by April 28th and 2396 she gave birth to their first daughter Liora Solwick.

USS Sedona, Galaxy Class

She continued to function as Chief Science Officer until January of 2398 when she transferred along with her family to the USS Sedona where she served as Second Officer and chief science officer aboard the USS Sedona.

Also unknown at the time but shortly before she left the Andromeda she found out she was pregnant again, with her second daughter Nerina Solwick. He found out in January and had her by October 14th, 2398. When she was approved for the command transfer she didn’t know at the time that she was going to be pregnant. Nerina was not a child that they were planning on having. But happy accidents happen all the time and they were more than happy and willing to bring her into this world.

Mirror felt like she learned most of her command abilities on the USS Sedona, she remained on the ship until 2401. During that time she had learned a lot.

In 2399 she had learned that Starfleet was infiltrated by a Romulan faction that even the Tal Shair were even afraid of. For what she knew El Romulan disguising herself as a Vulcan by the name of commodore Oh, had infiltrated starfleet in order to ensure that Starfleet band synthetic life forms. Unbeknown to her for some reason the Romulan Star Empire fear synthetic life forms and through infiltration and a coordinated attack orchestrated by the Commodore herself she had turned the incident of 2385 to her benefit to ban all synthetic life form and it wasn’t till 2399 thanks to the hard work of Admiral Jean Luc Picard that it all came out in the Federation decided to go back to a sense of exploration but not before more heartbreak and bloodshed.

XO Academy:

In 2401 she had just started the XO Academy back on earth when she learned of the battle of frontiers day, she was at the Academy ground waiting to hear the outcome of her space talk and assimilated Federation board Fleet had attacked Starfleet at its heart.

Thanks to the combined efforts of Admiral Picard, Commander Hanson also known as Seven of Nine and several others the Borg plans were thwarted and the Federation pulled through.

Aryn was still a department head, he had managed to transfer to the Valhalla Fleet Yards. It was important to him and to Mira to get their kids away from the Borg. During that time she was attending the academy so they weren’t sure where they were going to be assigned next so he agreed to take a one-year deal at the fleet yards and worked with the Corps of Engineers as a security detachment.
