The USS Jaxartes is once more patrolling the former Neutral Zone boarder and the numerus small Federation Colonies along its edge.  For her Captain, Lieutenant Junior Grade Jason Devron, it’s a special day, for everyone else it’s just a typical Monday in Starfleet.

That is until they receive a call for help from a Colony in distress; the USS Jaxartes and her crew head off to the planet New Alberta.  A forested tree covered snowy wilderness much like parts of her Canadian namesake and original home to the majority of its inhabitants.  But this planet holds a sinister secret, something the locals don’t understand and are unwilling to talk about. Lives have already been lost and more may follow.

It’s only a matter of time; in more ways than one before Jason finds himself right in the middle of it all.  The future is what we make it, or at least it’s what you think.
