After discovering an unmapped star system in the Delta Quadrant, the USS Odyssey plans to spend time exploring this new system. This will be one of the first lot of exploration the ship has been able to do since arriving in the Swallow Nebula region. After several weeks of calmness and no action, Captain Reyas plans to take her cadets out for a simple training cruise, which includes time investigating an M-class moon. Excited to do something off the ship, the cadets are keen to place their learning into practice and share some time engaging in activities that they have dreamed of doing ever since they applied to Starfleet! However, for some of the cadets, unnecessary tension develops and causes some friction that may derail their first excursion away from the Odyssey.
