After arriving safely in the Delta Quadrant and returning to the Swallow Nebula region, Commander Gray reports he is detecting a very strong Borg homing signal. Intrigued to discover what is out there, the crew sends a long-range probe to investigate. Upon closer examination of its sensor readings, the crew finds the signal coming from a nebula. However, they’re not the only ones who have sent a probe; someone else also sent a probe, and long-range sensors detect a large salvage fleet heading towards the nebula. Fascinated by what they are after, McCallister decides to enter the nebula with the Odyssey. However, the nebula is not as easy to transverse as they think, and a threat looms in the centre that neither the Odyssey nor the approaching aliens are prepared for.
