Tension brews along the Federation-Gorn border as a Borg probe, a small but ominous scout ship, makes an appearance. This enigmatic probe hovers near the border, conducting investigations without any aggressive overtures. Whilst on a mission with the rest of Lakota Squadron, Starfleet Command diverts the Buran to investigate, emphasising a cautious approach – ascertain the probe’s intentions without inciting conflict, and promptly relay a warning if the probe changes course toward any destination. But the presence of a Gorn Hunter soon complicates matters…
