The Archanis Campaign was a conflict between the United Federation of Planets and the Hunters of D’Ghor in 2399, primarily in the Archanis Sector territory held by the Federation. It began with D’Ghor raids against Federation colonies and Starfleet infrastructure, the region under-defended after over two decades of peace with the Klingon Empire. Starfleet responded by dispatching the 4th Fleet to bolster defences, provide humanitarian support to civilians, and pursue and eliminate the D’Ghor.

The USS Devastator under the command of newly assigned Captain Charles Scotto was dispatched to lead a convoy of mercy ships to the Meronia Cluster. These ships were to provide humanitarian support to local colonies stricken with a bio-virus invading their crops. En route to the cluster, the Devastator engaged briefly with D’Ghor forces via the destruction of one of it’s scout runabouts. After arriving at the colonies, the Devastator crew dismantled a hostage situation and captured a D’Ghor hunter leading to intelligence useful in the fight against the enemy.
