Shore leave on Colludea II should offer Lt Sora Venn and CPO Rebecca Thorne a chance to finally breathe. Instead, a day spent wandering Colludea’s crowded markets, rooftop cafes and late-night karaoke bars forces them both to confront what they carried home with them: borrowed memories, lingering guilt and the fear that their bond only exists because no one else can understand what they went through.

As the city gathers for the Homeward Lights, a lantern ceremony of remembrance and return, Rebecca and Sora must decide whether they are still holding onto the past, or choosing, at last, to move forward together.
