The long-awaited moment that the House of R’Veq has hoped for has finally arrived: one of their ships, the bird of prey IKS M’Char, has been given the honor of a summons to serve alongside Starfleet as a part of the secondment program championed by their liege, the Great House of Koloth.  Dispatched under the command of the House founder’s own daughter, M’Char doesn’t even make it to Federation space, though, before an opportunity falls into her lap to both expand her House’s holdings and strike a blow against pirate forces.  As orders, duty, and honor collide, can the veteran bird of prey and her crew resolve the Syndicate presence in their House’s backyard and arrive at Starbase 86 with a victory to their names, or is discretion the better part of valor in this case?
