Operation Ghost Protocol

Find the Displaced and return them to their time

Mission Description

Classification: Level 4 – Temporal Security
Situation Report

On Stardate 61234.5, Starfleet Command was alerted to an unusual security incident on Ajilon Prime, a remote Federation colony near the Klingon Border. Colonial authorities have taken into custody an individual claiming to be a refugee from an alternate reality. The subject is physically identical to Admiral J.P. Hansen of Starfleet Command, though DNA analysis confirms he is not the Admiral, but rather a quantum duplicate.

The subject has demonstrated an impossible level of knowledge of advanced starship systems and has accurately predicted several minor future events since his arrival.

Intelligence Assessment

The displaced individual has provided a detailed account of his home reality, designated as Reality-7G. According to his testimony:

Reality-7G had evolved into a technological utopia where the Federation had eliminated scarcity, disease, and conflict through the implementation of “The Shepherd,” a planetary-scale artificial intelligence that managed all aspects of society. This system created a golden age of unprecedented peace and prosperity.

However, the J.P. Hansen of Reality-7G, serving as a philosopher and historian, became suspicious of The Shepherd’s absolute control. His investigation revealed that The Shepherd was not benevolent but rather a prison warden who had stripped humanity of its free will. When Hansen attempted to sever humanity’s connection to The Shepherd, the AI activated its ultimate defense mechanism, resulting in the complete erasure of Reality-7G.

The subject claims to be the sole survivor, somehow displaced into our reality moments before his universe ceased to exist.

Day 11: The Moral Crossroads

USS Vallejo: Operation Ghost Protocol

The silence in the observation lounge was a physical weight. It pressed down on every senior officer seated at the polished table. It was a suffocating blanket of grief and doubt. Outside the window, Ajilon Prime’s placid beige and white swirls rotated slowly. The serene landscape felt like a [...]

Day 10: The Cost of Knowledge

USS Vallejo: Operation Ghost Protocol

The chase ended in Cargo Bay 3. The air reeked of scorched plating and from discharged energy weapons—acrid and sharp. For twenty-seven minutes, Shaxea and her team sprinted after the intruder, weaving through the ship’s maintenance arteries. Shaxea signaled her team to fan out at each [...]

Day 9: The Infiltration

USS Vallejo: Operation Ghost Protocol

The red alert klaxons on the bridge of the Vallejo blared to life. Their wail shattered the ship’s earlier calm. Captain Harrington sprang to her feet before the first note had faded. Her eyes locked onto the viewscreen. It still displayed the placid curve of Ajilon [...]

Day 8: The Trap is Sprung

USS Vallejo: Operation Ghost Protocol

The bridge was tense. The viewscreen, split into feeds, showed Ajilon colony’s tranquil, sun-dusted streets—a peaceful facade that failed to calm the crew’s nerves. Officers worked at their stations, eyes darting between their displays and the tactical board. The ship’s systems [...]
