When Captain Órlaith Murphy goes missing on a trip back from Tellar, the traveler known as Wesley Crusher places her on the list of the displaced — lost to alternate realities.

With the Loom devouring corrupted realities, and Órlaith not being from this universe, Starfleet decides the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few… or the one. They leave her behind in her home reality, where the Federation has fractured into two states: the human-centric Terran Imperium, born from the Terra Prime movement of the late 2150s, and the Terra Alpha Alliance — this universe’s version of the Federation.

Now it falls to her family to violate orders and risk everything to bring Órlaith home before her enemies make that impossible.
