Our last report came hot off the heels of the Vaadwaur invasion. Since then we’ve enjoyed some Shore Leave, and now we’re all putting away the margarita glasses and beach towels to roll up our sleeves and conduct some Wargames! But before we do that, let’s dig in to what’s gone down in the mean green ‘93 since the end of June!
Task Force Updates
With Elena Mitchell stepping down as TFCO, I’ve some big shoes to fill as I take over the role. I won’t be following just their example alone, but rather that of all who have served before. I’m eager to do right by them and all of you as we move forward into the next quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, Meila Tris has been doing a great job as our resident TGCO of Task Group 44, rallying all of the troops with you folks in the lounge and offering to help our cadets.
I’m not the only new face around here. We’ve also welcomed several returning and new arrivals to the Task Force. Let’s all offer the warmest of greetings to the following;
Fiction Updates
- During Shore Leave, members from the crews of USS Cheyenne, USS Phoenix, USS Powhatan, USS Saratoga, and USS Typhoon come together aboard Starbase 93 in Risa Protocol to run a holodeck program of Risa in order to relax following the events of the recent Vaadwaur assault.
- USS Fairfax
- The crew of the Fairfax get the old vessel back on her feet with the help of its former Chief Engineer, now retired, as a consultant. The Fairfax responds to a distress call and finds an Azurak freighter seemingly pillaged by Nausican pirates. Two surviving crew members are rescued, as well as a Hej’ogt statue of great cultural significance to the Azurak crew. While these meaningful statues are present on every Azurak vessel, there is something strange about this particular Hej’ogt…
- USS San Jose
- Captain Juliette Bristo, Lieutenant Meja, and Ensign Ded survive a shuttle crash on an uncharted planet and find the remains of an old NX-class vessel.
- USS Powhatan
- Following the events of Shore Leave, Meila Tris takes command of USS Powhatan as its former Captain retires. The freshly minted Captain Tris’ first assignment is to take a runabout and investigate the disappearance of a shuttle from USS San Jose. Unfortunately, they find themselves crash-landing on the same uncharted planet as the crew of the San Jose.
- USS Sherman Oaks
- Ryden, a Junior Counselor aboard the Sherman Oaks goes about his shift and is privy to snippets of conversation going on around him, but never the entirety of their contents.
- USS Fresno
- Captain Dart and Commander Zheen attend an outdoors team building retreat on Minos Korva with the COs of USS Carlsbad, USS Sacramento, and USS Speedwell.
