Task Force Updates
It’s time once again for Task Force 21 to reflect on another exciting quarter of activity, growth, and change. With our captains and crews returning from shore leave and new missions on the horizon there’s plenty to celebrate across the task force.
The biggest moment of the quarter came with the close of Wargames. Captain Cressida Brennan delivered one of the most impressive showings fleet-wide, earning first place overall and setting the bar for what excellence looks like. Her performance was nothing short of remarkable and stands as a true highlight.
This quarter we also bid a fond farewell to one of our own James MacLeod, who has accepted a new role as Task Group Commanding Officer in Task Force 86. Many will remember James from his time as a TGCO right here in TF21 where his leadership, creativity, and steady presence made a lasting impact. While we’re sad to see him go we’re proud to see him continuing to serve the fleet and we wish him every success in his new assignment.
Fiction Updates
- USS Cardinal – The USS Cardinal took on a new civilian team after a refreshing shore leave on Janoor III. Around the same time, a mysterious woman entangled herself with Captain Raku. He found out she is a member of the new civilian team days before shocking revelations of her new pregnancy. Her historic familial ties to organized crime draw concerns of manipulation to the captain’s close friends. The Cardinal then set sail on a core-ward vector alongside the Breen border. The crew encountered an abandoned station that ensnared their ship. Destroying it and fleeing led to Breen pursuit and a diplomatic solution. Not long after that, an outbreak of the Jovian Mind Flu spread across the Nebula-class starship. Medical officers and counselors worked together to contain the outbreak by treating both physical and psychological symptoms.
- SS Wandering Wolf – Captain Hasara is on the hunt for those who have put out a contract on him and his lieutenant. An investigation mission leads to a scrambling escape as the true nature of the enemy becomes clear. Joined by a disgraced former Starfleet nurse and a group of misfits, the Wandering Wolf is on the hunt.
- Montana Station – The traffic has continued to grow, and commerce expands. Threats to Hasara’s empire accelerated with two murders in the lower decks before a lockdown was initiated to separate the bad actors. By luck, they were located and were prevented from creating a mass casualty incident.
- USS Cushing – Newly assigned to Montana Squadron, Captain Thorne is learning to accept his role as captain and leader of the Olympic-class starship.
- USS Franklin D. Roosevelt – The events of Nightfall were a challenging experience for the crew of the Ambassador class. Captain Crawford and crew are working the rimward diplomatic operations with several groups and organizations, including Harris Transport.
- USS Gagarin – Captain Dread’s experience of the events of Nightfall challenged her and the crew—being cut off from the universe impacted them in ways they hadn’t experienced. A new crew has been assigned a new mission – the outer colonies of the rimward are under a new attack from a new threat.
- IKS Klothos – Newly assigned to the Montana Squadron and led by former diplomatic officer Captain J’Klast, their focus is on Tougun and his network using the more nuanced Klingon approach. J’Klast’s colorful history begins to unravel as the mission begins.
- USS Perseverance – Captain Wren Walton and crew have spent much of their time on science missions. They were able to take leave during Shore Leave and are now working with Crawford and Thorne on bringing a fresh group of colonists to an abandoned colony where there’s more then meets the eye.
- USS Zephyr – The Typhoon class took the brunt of the Nightfall action with multiple attacks and runs against the enemy. In the end, Captain Bradley led an attack on the device creating the Nightfall effect and prevailed, rescuing Captain Wren Walton and Commander Park after they successfully sabotaged the station.
