Hello Bravo Fleet!
It has now been over a month since I took over as the Bravo Fleet Science Officer, and I am happy to announce some updates.
Policy & Guide Updates
Over the past month, the Science Office has primarily been developing updates to the Science Office Policy and new guides for our members. These changes have been created to encourage and support our members in getting more involved in our record-keeping. These guides are the first of many to be developed by the Science Office. On many occasions, members have asked about what to include in their contributions to our Wiki. We hope these guides will inspire and help. You can see these updates and new guides here:

- Science Office Guide: Wiki Submission & Involvement

Science Office Recruitment
We are now looking to expand the Science Office and develop staff who are keen to make an impact on two crucial resources that contribute to the sharing of our canon and enhance our storytelling abilities. Please remember that the Science Office does not develop canon – our great colleagues in the Intelligence Office oversee this. The two offices work together, and it is our responsibility to implement our shared lore through maintaining our record-keeping via the Bravo Fleet Wiki and the Bravo Fleet Map. A large part of the Science Office’s work will involve project-based work and reviewing current content on these two systems to ensure they adhere to policies and guides.
Successful applicants for this role will:
- Be able to show a clear understanding of the distinction between the Science and Intelligence Offices.
- Detail-oriented in ensuring that any records created (be it on the Wiki or the Map) are clear and follow the policies and guides laid out.
- Adhere to strict deadlines. Some of the work within the Science Office will be project-based. Projects have defined scopes and deadlines, often tied to community events, and must be completed within set timeframes.
- Be able to engage and empower fellow BF members in a supportive, friendly way to contribute successfully to the BF Wiki.
- Be able to provide regular time (e.g. weekly check-ins or task completion) to assist in the maintenance of the BF Wiki and/or Map and complete desired project-based work.
- Be able to use basic Wiki coding successfully (e.g., using formatting tools, including templates, categories, etc.)
- (Desirable) Be able to demonstrate substantial experience in Wiki development.
- (Desirable) Be able to create graphics to enhance the work of the Science Office.
- Be expected to collaborate as a wider team and provide respectful feedback when reviewing others’ work (and be prepared to receive feedback on their own work).
No prior Bravo Fleet Staff experience is required, but being above the rank of Lieutenant Commander does demonstrate that an applicant is familiar with the Bravo Fleet community.
If you are interested in joining the Science Office, please complete this application form. Submissions must be completed before 12 pm GMT on Saturday, 7th February 2026. If you want to ask more about the staff roles, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
We Want You…to update the Wiki!
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Wiki so far, especially those who have been updating the AOR following the conclusion of Nightfall. If you haven’t done this yet, then please do. Please do get in touch if you need help with this. The Science Office exists to help our members enjoy contributing to our wiki. Do take a look at our guides, especially the location guide, which includes helpful tips and suggestions you can use. Also, do not be scared of the BF Wiki – we promise it won’t bite!
If we can aim to have members regularly update their corner of the Bravo Fleet galaxy, it will go a long way toward keeping our community engaged in our adventures!
Thank you, everyone!
