Greetings, Bravo Fleet!
OCS remains busy as always, a testament to the activity of you, our members. Since the start of the year, we have processed an enormous 12,818 writing ribbons and a gargantuan 25,661 gaming ribbons. And we still have a month and a half left, including the remaining five weeks of our current campaign: New Frontiers.
OCS has been busy at work on a few new things, in addition to the new merit awards that Vince mentioned in his recent Fleet Command Report, and I’d like to update you all.
TTRPGS
The 2025 Fall Survey has provided some interesting feedback and raised an issue with the activity ribbons awarded for participation in our TTRPGs. Members felt that the effort put into participating in the Pioneer was worth more than the 1 Duty Ribbon they received.
After much discussion with Vince and the rest of the BFSS, we agreed. We decided the best way to remedy this was to introduce a whole new activity ribbon specifically for participation in our TTRPGs. I’d like to introduce the Strategic Duty Ribbon.

The Strategic Duty Ribbon will be awarded to those members who participate in a TTRPG session. Each ribbon will be worth 40 prestige, and members will earn 3 ribbons per session, with an additional 2 ribbons awarded to the GM.
Active for over two years, the Pioneer continues to be a great success, and I’m thrilled to introduce this new ribbon to recognise our TTRPG offering.
Memorial Page
The recent untimely passing of Fleet Admiral Oliver Tidwell prompted the BFSS to consider how we recognise those members who are sadly no longer with us. Until recently, our ‘memorial wall’ was a page on the Bravo Fleet wiki. However, it wasn’t very well signposted and was almost hidden out of the way. We felt it was more appropriate to have something on BFMS itself.
To that end, we have created a new page on BFMS to honour those who have passed away. After a brief discussion, we decided to name it ‘Honoured in Sto’vo’kor’. For those departed members who have a BFMS dossier, this will remain on their dossiers in perpetuity. The new memorial wall, still a work in progress, can be found here.
Staffing
Fleet Captain Henry Maxwell has been with OCS for over a year now and has been doing sterling work in assisting me in the day-to-day business of the department. I think he’s long overdue for recognition for his hard work. I’m pleased to announce that he’s agreed to step up as Deputy Chief of Staff, effective immediately. This is a well-deserved promotion, and I look forward to working with him closely in the coming months as he takes on a wider portfolio of work within OCS.
