Temporal Anomaly Detection Challenge #3
Description
The Department of Temporal Investigations once again extends an invitation to all Bravo Fleet personnel. Established in 2270 under the Federation Science Council, the DTI exists to monitor and investigate time travel incidents and to safeguard the integrity of the timeline. From its headquarters in Greenwich, England (with branch offices in San Francisco and Aldebaran III), the agency has long stood as the Federation’s primary defense against temporal contamination.
Drawing inspiration from the same mandate that sent Agents Marion Dulmur and Gariff Lucsly to interrogate Captain Benjamin Sisko about the events surrounding James T. Kirk and the tribbles at Space Station K-7, this challenge tasks participants with identifying the temporal and spatial origins of anomalous visual records. Just as the Temporal Prime Directive demands non-interference when Federation personnel encounter past eras, accuracy and precision remain paramount. In the 29th century, the DTI’s work would evolve into the Temporal Integrity Commission and the timeships of vessels such as the USS Relativity… but for now, the responsibility rests with you.
