[Nightfall Phase 1]: Warp Conspiracy Theory Presentation

Description

For decades, organisations have used presentation slide decks to deliver information and focus during team meetings. In recent years, comedians and social groups have begun using presentation slide decks as visual aids for stand up comedy or silly conversations

With the Alpha and Beta Quadrants in turmoil over the loss of warp drive, create a presentation slide deck about your favourite faster-than-light conspiracy theory. A variety of approaches are welcome: This can be in-character proposal to Starfleet Command about warp alternatives or this can be out of character fun for you as a fan. You can dig deep into your nerdiest of beta and gamma canon, or you can embrace Star Trek: Lower Decks and make it funny.

Example topics for conspiracy theories could include: How to improve slipstream drive. Soliton waves are better for the environment. The side effects of warp 10 are good, actually.

You’re not restricted to PowerPoint. There’s a variety of other platforms available on mobile, desktop, or online. Consider Keynote, LibreOffice Impress, Google Slides, Reveal.js, Visme or Canva. You can even use a word processor, as long as you present the information boldly and visually on landscape orientation.

Criteria

  • Slide decks should include no more than six slides including the title card.
  • Submission must include a PDF attachment compressed to less than 1 MB OR link to an online slide deck. However, if you don't provide the judge appropriate access to the linked document, your entry will be disqualified.
  • Submissions will be graded on clarity and structure of the conspiracy theory for 5 points, persuasiveness for 5 points, visual appeal for 5 points, and adherence to canon for 5 points. The highest number of points will win!

I hope the links works, it includes the notes that are missing in the attached PDF. But rather play safe then regret it.

For some reason I was getting an error trying to upload the .pdf file. Does a .zip of the .pdf file work? I made this on Google Slides and also went in to the share settings and it should be open to anyone who has the following link; https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1tPvwzyScwG_obYMhMcnm3lnsl03IU3gorF8VnI-dHnM/edit?usp=sharing
