The Excelsior II Class starship is a triumph of utility through rebirth.

With the need to field a generalist Heavy Cruiser to fill the line, whilst the Inquiry – Class development was underway, the Starfleet Corps of Engineering looked to the past and undertook an upgrade and conversion program to modernize the existing Excelsior – class spaceframes into a modern workhorse.

Your mission is to assist Starfleet Engineering with the reconstruction of the USS Mackenzie – reassembling the vessel to serve the Federation anew.
