Astute Light Cruiser Division
USS Astute • 2 Commands • Managed by CAPT Trevenan Williams
Formed in the wake of the invasion of the Alpha & Beta Quadrants by the forces of the Vaadwaur Supremacy, Task Force 72 assigned the Echelon – class Light Cruiser, USS Astute to head up a Rapid Reaction Detachment along with the Prometheus – class Heavy Escort, USS Athena.
Together the deployment of both vessels enable Fourth Fleet to maintain patrol duties along the former DMZ and aid in the recovery operations to the many worlds devastated by the Vaadwaur invaders via the USS Astute, whilst the more martially – capable USS Athena stands ready to investigate and respond-in-force to any further incursion into Federation – space, as Starfleet seeks to heal the lasting wounds of conflict.
