Main Bridge
Deck 01
Ready Room
Deck 01
Conference Room
Deck 01
The control center for Apollo, the main bridge is where the most important decisions about the ship's course are made—literally and figuratively. At the behest of Captain Gaudain, the module selected is an updated version of the one made famous aboard Constitution-class heavy cruisers in the 2260s.
The captain's chair is on a raised platform in the center of the bridge, a step above the integrated flight control and tactical console amidships. Behind the captain's chair is a large schematic of the ship, next to the science station. The operations station is to the port side of the captain, next to the engineering station. Across the bridge is the communications and mission ops console. The large viewscreen can become translucent and offers a direct view of space when the blast door behind it is retracted.
The captain's ready room is accessed from the starboard door, while the briefing room is accessed to port. All of deck one is served by one turbolift.
Located to the starboard side of deck one, the captain's ready room aboard Apollo is Captain Gaudain's space for private work as well as small staff briefings, as a table seating six is found near his large desk. A seating area is located on the opposite end of the room for relaxation and informal chats.
Located to the port side of deck one, the conference room is exactly the same size as the captain's ready room, though it has a large meeting table on one end and a lounge on the other, without a desk area. This room can comfortably accommodate conferences of up to twenty-four individuals, with the seating and table reconfigured through holography as needed. When needed, it can also serve as a captain's mess for semi-formal events or as a banquet hall for state occasions.
