The USS Typhoon (NCC-90000) is a Typhoon-class exploratory cruiser assigned to the Fourth Fleet’s Task Force 93. She is currently under the command of Captain Giovanni D’Antonio. Commissioned in late 2401, the Typhoon is the first ship of her class and is primarily assigned to scientific and humanitarian duties on the frontier. While not on scientific missions, Typhoon conducts patrols, fly the flag, and conducts search and rescue missions when and wherever needed.
