Commanded by Commander Raven Reade, USS Decker is assigned to the Sovereign to either assist the Sovereign in a combat situation. The Decker can also be dispatched by the Sovereign, to a particular situation where diplomacy does not work. Decker can also be dispatched with USS Echelon as an escort for any given reason, whether Echelon is conducting a scientific mission, humanitarian aide, or evacuation of a crippled vessel. Any role that Echelon is assigned, the Decker will be there to ensure that it is not caught off guard by pirates, Klingon raiders, or other hostile entity.
