Summary

Coming from a family of successful Starfleet officers, Vivienne’s failed attempts at joining Starfleet Academy had always made her stand out – and not in a positive way. In her attempts to earn her parent’s recognition regardless, Vivienne tried herself in a number of different career paths and endeavours – the most recent one that of a journalist for the tabloid “Star Crossed”.
When a mix-up gave her the opportunity to join the crew of the USS Cupertino on their mission to Tarasa, Vivienne took her chance and is now trying to navigate her new normal

Appearance

Vivienne has long chestnut-brown hair and eyes of the same color, which contrast her fair complexion. She has a heart-shaped face with pronounced dimples, and the figure of someone who quite obviously doesn’t enjoy sports, but does enjoy food.
She dresses in somewhat quirky clothing, and her socks never match.

Personality

Vivienne has a bubbly personality and often comes across as younger than she is. Her outgoing nature hides reoccurring moments of anxiety, and her desperate need to win her parents approval. She easily makes new friends but struggles with deepened connections. Despite being half Betazoid, Vivienne has not consciously exhibited any empathic or telepathic ability.

History

Vivienne was born as a late addition to the Claybrook family. Due to the age gap between her and her two siblings, they never truly had a chance to connect.
The initially loving relationship between Vivienne and her parents cooled down considerably when Vivienne, in her teens, still didn’t show any signs of having inherited her mother’s telepathic gift. Her inability to communicate with the rest of the family in such a way led to several counts of friction, and eventually marred  the relationship permanently.

After College, Vivienne attempted twice to join Starfleet Academy, but failed the entrance exam due to a lack of preparation. Following this, she joined her Uncle, Fransix Leski, on the SS Belladonna and began travelling with him. After another unsuccessful attempt at joining Starfleet, she discovered a passion for writing, and eventually got an entry level position at the tabloid “Star Crossed”.
