Thomas ‘Tom’ Hawkins is the chief communications officer aboard Deep Space 19. His expertise in linguistics and advanced communication technology makes him indispensable to the station’s operations. Not known to many besides a few of the more senior members of the crew, Tom is a well-trained and skilled field agent who used to work for Starfleet Intelligence.
