Jowain Parin is a Starfleet officer who serves as Chief Medical Officer on Deep Space 19. Parin has served on the station his entire career. Jowain is someone who never stops learning and undertaking research. While on Deep Space 19, Parin has become quite an expert in Romulan folk medicine due to his time working with Romulan refugees on Kovar.
